The Marsh Mill Tavern is set in the heartlands of Marsh Mill Village near the beautifully restored Grade II listed Windmill. In this picturesque craft village, the Tavern offers a homely feel, ensuring all guests and diners experience a comfortable and relaxing time in the modern surroundings of Thornton Cleveleys. Alongside our freshly prepared carvery, we have a fantastic food menu that serves all the traditional hearty pub food classics along with some new delicious varieties. To compliment your meal, we stock a range of award-winning lagers and ales with carefully selected fine wines from around the world.
The successful Sous Chef will be passionate about food quality and standards within the business. You will prepare, cook and present meals to specification and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with hygiene regulations. A competitive rate of pay is dependant on each individual and experience. The role will include working 30+ hours per week which also includes evening and weekend work.
- You need to be self-motivated, an outgoing person that works well with others and has a real passion for great food.
- You have the ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast paced environment
- The ability to work flexibly according to the needs of the business
- You will have at least 1 years’ experience working in a commercial kitchen as a line chef
- You’ll need an eye for details and be able to work under pressure
- Minimum level 1 food hygiene
