An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Chef at The Bridgewater, Hollinwood, Oldham.

The Bridgewater is situated on the A62 in Hollinwood, just outside Oldham which offers an all day, every day carvery supported by a full menu to bring a relaxed drinking and dining experience surrounded by contemporary decor to our customers. The family food pub is known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere and offers what we believe to be the best value for money and standard of service in the area.
The pub serves a wide range of cask, craft, and world beers plus many exquisite wines and premium spirits as well as has an outdoor heated and covered terrace with a beer garden that allows customers to relax outside. The Bridgewater Hotel caters for all types of functions and parties
The successful Trainee Chef will be passionate about food, quality, and standards within the business. You will prepare, cook and present meals to specification and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with hygiene regulations. There are full and part-time positions available, the role will also include evening and weekend work.
- You need to be self-motivated, an outgoing person that works well with others and has a real passion for great food.
- You have the ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- The ability to work flexibly according to the needs of the business.
- You will have some experience working in a commercial kitchen.
- Lots of experience is not necessary, however, a willingness to learn and work as part of a team is essential.
- You’ll need an eye for details and be able to work under pressure.
- Minimum level 1 food hygiene.
