HR Advisor (6 Month Fixed Term Contract)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Advisor to join the team at Joseph Holt Ltd. This will initially be on a 6 month fixed term contract.

Joseph Holt is an independent, six-generation family-owned company, with 127 pubs across the North West. Since 1849 we have been brewing a wide range of award-winning beers in our Manchester brewery, which have won 5 Gold Medals at the International Brewing Awards in the last 12 years alone.

About you

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of management
  • Highly organised, motivated and results driven with a desire to learn
  • At least CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards it
  • Must be computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft office, word and excel.
  • Enjoy working within a small friendly team
  • Full Clean Driving License

Job Description

As the HR Advisor, your duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing and answering all first line employee queries
  • Supporting all employees, managers, and executives in all related areas including recruitment, performance management, staff relations, people development and training
  • Produce HR letters from promotions, contract changes, leaves of absence, references, AWOL, TUPE, disciplinary outcomes, investigations, and more
  • Writing monthly mental health and wellbeing emails to employees
  • Responsible for the Company’s benefit platform
  • Writing job descriptions, posting job adverts and arranging interviews
  • Manage the implementation of all Company induction training
  • Looking after the online training platform for all employees
  • Supporting finance with payroll queries, including holiday pay, Maternity/Paternity calculations
  • Responsible for keeping track of sickness

To apply

We are looking for a highly organised and experienced Advisor who can build relationships with all employees and support us within the HR function. There will be some travel to our pubs in the North West so you will need your own transport.

Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday

Contract: Six month fixed term

Pay: £26-30k DOE
