Silverwell

Darlington Street East, Scholes, Wigan, WN1 3EF

The Silverwell is one of Wigan’s oldest and is situated in the heart of the Scholes. The former Tetley’s house was added to the Joseph Holt estate over a decade ago and has since become a great community pub.

This red-brick corner site pub is packed full of traditional features with a vault and lounge area, a snug and pool room making the Silverwell a pub full of great atmosphere and great beers. Laid out of three rooms, this quaint pub is a true community local. Withing walking distance to Wigan town centre and close to the famous St. Pats Rugby Club it is the place of choice for many regulars, locals and visitors to the area.

The pub has a nostalgic nod to Wigan’s rugby heritage with old photos and memorabilia adorning the walls across all areas of the pub. Being split into three distinct rooms, the Silverwell also caters for private events whatever the occasion. Live Sky & BT Sport is also shown on the multiple screens with a strong following for rugby league.
