We also operate a Click and Collect system on the Beer Shop, which is free of charge. During the checkout process, enter your postcode then select the Click and Collect option. You can currently click and collect from the Joseph Holt Brewery with two pick up slots available on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Standard delivery to local postcods is £4.99 per order. Standard delivery for national orders is £6.99. Click and Collect is a free service.
All orders over £50 (after any discounts/offers) are subject to free delivery and the postage fee will automatically be removed at the checkout. We reserve the right to remove free delivery on order over £50 at any time.

Failed Deliveries

We cannot accept responsibility for delivery failure if you provide an incorrect address, postcode or incorrect contact telephone number. Please check this information carefully when placing your order.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Collection

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, it’s not possible for you to collect an order directly from the Joseph Holt Brewery. This will be the case until we are permitted to fully re-open the brewery safely and in accordance with government guidelines.

Returns Policy

You may return your items to Joseph Holt within 14 days of purchase from the day you receive your order, provided all bottles and products are unopened and intact. Once goods are received back into the Joseph Holt brewery a refund will be processed within 14-days using our third-party payment provider Stripe.

Customers wishing to return any item from their order must e-mail [email protected]. If you have received a product that was not on your order in place of a different product Joseph Holt will pay for the return postage.
All other return deliveries will be at the customers expense.

Returns using a third party courier may be subject to rejection due to restrictions on handling of glassware and liquids in transit. Should you wish to return a product to us please check with your chose courier or delivery method before returning. This does not affect your Consumer Rights.

Your Consumer Rights

You have a legal right to cancel a Contract during within a 14-day period as per the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. This means that during the relevant period if you change your mind or decide for any other reason that you do not want to receive or keep the Product, you can notify us of your decision to cancel the Contract and receive a refund. Advice about your legal right to cancel the Contract is available from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office.

This cancellation right may not apply in the case of personalised Products or Products that have been opened or used. This does not relate to faulty or incorrect goods.

Your legal right to cancel a Contract starts from the date of the Dispatch Confirmation (the date on which we e-mail you to confirm our acceptance of your order for Products or a Subscription, as applicable), which is when the Contract between us is formed. Your deadline for cancelling the Contract then depends on what you have ordered and how it is delivered. Example: if we provide you with a Dispatch Confirmation on 1 January and you receive the Product on 10 January you may cancel at any time between 1 January and the end of the day on 24 January.

If you cancel your Contract we will:

Refund you the price you paid for the Products. However, please note we are permitted by law to reduce your refund to reflect any reduction in the value of the goods, if this has been caused by your handling them in a way which would not be permitted in a shop (for example if you open the packaging). If we refund you the price paid before we are able to inspect the goods and later discover you have handled them in an unacceptable way, you must pay us an appropriate amount;

Make any refunds due to you as soon as possible and in any event within (i) 14 days after the day on which we receive the Product back from you or, (ii)  if we have agreed to collect the Product, 14 days after you inform us of your decision to cancel the Contract.

We will refund you on the credit card or debit card used by you to pay. If you used vouchers to pay for the Product we may refund you in vouchers.

If a Product has been delivered to you before you decide to cancel your Contract:

Then you must return it to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days after the day on which you let us know that you wish to cancel the Contract; and

Unless the Product is faulty or not as described, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the Products.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

If you return an item because of an error on our part, or it is defective, we will happily refund your costs in returning it to us. The item(s) must be returned within 14 days of purchase.

If an attempted delivery is visibly damaged, you are within your rights to refuse the order, at which point it will be returned to us.

Gift Returns

We are happy to exchange faulty or defective products that have been sent to you as a gift. If you are returning an item but would like to exchange it for something else and you’re not sure what, we are happy to issue an e-gift voucher for the value of the item you are returning. If a refund is required however, please note that refunds of the purchase price for items bought as gifts can only be given to the original purchaser.

Refunds

Refunds, replacements or exchanges are usually processed within 14 working days of receipt of the returned item(s) by Joseph Holt. Any refund will be made in the same form of payment that was used to make the initial purchase.

Please note, in all instances Joseph Holt shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages or expenses, including but not limited to lost profits or other economic or commercial losses. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.

Incorrect Product Ordered

We urge you to check your order carefully before checking out, however we know that sometimes order errors can occur. If you have ordered an incorrect product or beer, we are happy to change the product on your order for the correct one providing it is of the same value.
Product changes must be sent to [email protected] within 24 hours of your order being placed.

Orders that have moved from processing to dispatched cannot be changed and therefore will be subject to our returns policy above.

Pub Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers purchased through the Joseph Holt website for use within our pubs are subject to the terms and conditions specific to those vouchers.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns or process refunds on gift vouchers.

Gift vouchers can be used in any of the 127 Joseph Holt pubs across the North West excluding Claremont Hotel, Coach & Horses, Eagle Inn, Millstone, Queens Hotel Macclesfield and Union Tavern.

Discounts, Vouchers and Promotions

Any promotions, discounts or vouchers (“Offers”) are single use only and not to be used in conjunction with any other Offer unless otherwise stated.

Offers are available only while stock lasts.

Any Offers advertised on our site can only be used on the site and cannot be used in one of our Joseph Holt pubs.

We reserve the right to withdraw or terminate any of our Offers at any time, either as a whole or for specific delivery areas or customers. If this happens, then the Offer may not be used for any orders placed after the date of withdrawal or termination.

We may from time to time run different Offers, with different terms (including amounts, types and expiry dates). We reserve the right to limit the applicability of any particular Offers to specific regions or delivery areas. Different Offers may be run simultaneously but cannot be used in combination with each other unless explicitly allowed.

We reserve the right to reject the use of an Offer where fraud or breach of these Terms is suspected.

We just need to check you’re 18 or over?
