Here’s to a fresh chapter for this much-loved Chorlton landmark. Soon to be run by the team behind The Black Friar in Salford, we’ll be opening the doors once again in late October 2025 – proudly becoming Chorlton’s very first gastropub.

We’re carefully restoring the character of this historic building – showcasing original features, heritage colours and a stripped-back, welcoming style with plenty of cosy corners to enjoy a pint.

At the heart of the pub will be a brand-new food offering, with an ever-changing menu built around fresh, local ingredients. And of course, you’ll still find a full range of award-winning Joseph Holt ales pouring at the bar – now joined by a hand-picked wine list for perfect food pairings, a crafted cocktail menu and a tempting line-up of new bar snacks.

Find out more information and loads of detail behind the new offering by clicking here. We cannot wait to welcome you to your new look Horse and Jockey very soon.
