An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and organised individual to join our team as Cellar Service Technician on a permanent contract.
Overview
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Cellar Service Technician to join our Cellar Services team on a permanent contract.
This is a key hands-on role at the heart of our beer quality operation, supporting the maintenance, installation, and refurbishment of cellar and dispense systems across our 127 pubs and a growing free trade network of around 350 partners. You’ll also play a part in preparing for major events and festivals, ensuring our beers are always served at their very best.
Working across both cask and keg dispense systems, you’ll help maintain the highest standards of beer quality throughout our estate and Free Trade network No two days will ever be the same, from tackling technical breakdowns and new installations to supporting refurbishments and special events.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain cellar and dispense systems across the pub estate and free trade network.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, callouts, and equipment faults to minimise downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Some evening and weekend work.
- Support refurbishment projects and new installations, working closely with the Cellar Service Manager and contractors.
- Carry out gas system checks in line with the BGCA Code of Practice, ensuring full compliance and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and system performance.
- Assist in managing ullage and beer quality standards, reporting any recurring issues to the Cellar Service Manager.
- Provide on-site support for events such as beer festivals and outdoor bars, ensuring high-quality dispense performance.
- Support cellar training and offer practical advice to pub teams to help maintain beer quality.
- Uphold company standards in health and safety, ensuring all work is carried out safely and responsibly.
The Successful Candidate
- Previous experience in cellar services or technical dispense.
- A strong understanding of cellar equipment, beer dispense systems, and gas safety.
- A strong communicator with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders including pub teams, contractors, suppliers, and senior managers.
- Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working across multiple sites with varying demands.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and fix faults efficiently.
- Passionate about beer quality
- Motivated, driven, and enthusiastic about raising standards and delivering results.
- Enjoys working as part of a team but also confident to take ownership.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
- Able to meet airport security clearance requirements for site access at Manchester Airport.
