Chef (leading to Head Chef), Cock O’Budworth
Where: Cock O'Budworth, Great Budworth, CW9 6HB
We’re looking for a full-time Chef to join us at the Cock O’Budworth. For the right candidate, this position will lead to a Head Chef position.
The Cock O’Budworth is an outstanding Grade II listed village pub in the scenic area of Great Budworth. The former 17th century coaching inn is beautifully furnished throughout with cosy snugs, low beams, open fires and cobbled entrance. This wouldn’t be a proper country pub without a great beer garden and a dog friendly bar area.
Joseph Holt is an independent family owned company, operating over 120 pubs, restaurants and hotels within Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Lancashire, producing a range of award winning beers from our Brewery in Manchester. We are a friendly family run company that are passionate about what we do.
About the Job
We are looking for a Chef to join our team who is:
- Passionate about food quality and standards
- Able to prepare, cook and present meals to specification
- Able to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and compliance with hygiene regulations
About You
- Self-motivated individual who works well with others and has a real passion for great food
- You have the ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast paced environment
- The ability to work flexibly according to the needs of the business, including evenings and weekends
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen as a chef or second chef
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team is essential
- An eye for details and be able to work under pressure
