Working closely with the Estates Department and the Risk, Safety & Compliance Manager, you will help ensure that legal compliance requirements are effectively implemented, maintained, evidenced, and audit-ready across all sites.

  • Ensure documentation is accurate and audit ready.

Inspection, Audit & Assurance

  • Conduct planned audits and inspections across brewery and pub estate.
  • Verify implementation of fire safety, safe systems of work, and equipment inspection regimes.
  • Track actions and support readiness for HSE and Fire Authority inspections.

Risk Assessment & Safe Systems of Work

  • Coordinate and, where applicable, write, COSHH, manual handling, and task risk assessments.
  • Support development of safe systems of work across brewery and pub operations.

Fire Safety Compliance

  • Maintain fire risk assessments, evacuation plans, alarm and lighting testing, extinguisher checks, and fire marshal arrangements.

Asset & Equipment Compliance

  • Manage inspection regimes for lifting equipment, plant machinery, pressure systems, ladders, and PAT testing.

Contractor & Permit Control

  • Coordinate contractor inductions and permits to work. Ensure contractor compliance with safety standards.

Incident Management

  • Support investigation of incidents and ensure reporting and follow-up actions are completed.

Estates Coordination (Ad-hoc)

  • Coordinate maintenance works and ensure they are completed safely and compliantly.
  • Maintain records and support budgeting.

Systems & Records

  • Maintain digital compliance systems and ensure a defensible audit trail.

Culture & Support

  • Act as a point of contact for site managers and promote a proactive safety culture.
