Training & Development Manager – Maternity cover, fixed term contract

Where: Empire St, Cheetham Hill, Manchester M3 1JD

Training and Development manager for Maternity cover for an established brewery and pub company in Manchester responsible for but not limited to the below:

• Develop training content which covers a range of learning styles and delivery methods

• Create, implement and monitor all E Learning and be the point of contact for our LMS

• Deliver regular training sessions and workshops in our Training Centre to a range of teams varying in experience

• Create and deliver bespoke team training at our pubs across the North West including refurbishment and refresher training

• Ensure all training is delivered in line with company values and aims, including equality, diversity and inclusion

• Continuous development of all training, coaching, and learning and development initiatives across the company

• Drive attendance and engagement for Learning & Development

• Supporting new manager and head chef inductions, update and implement changes to all new starters across the pub estate as well as creating documentation for setting high standards of behaviour and ensuring compliance from Training Champions

• Collaborate with HR to develop and implement wellbeing initiatives, employee communication and employee engagement & retention.

• Facilitate apprenticeships, oversee, and serve as a primary contact for various suppliers and staff members

• Manage recruitment processes, including liaising with providers and job boards, advertising vacancies, conducting interviews and follow-ups after hiring.

• Act as the primary liaison for charities, external organisations, and colleges we collaborate with.

• Drive internal development and progression initiatives.

• Identify and coordinate external training providers as necessary.

• Stay current and participate in annual audits across various charters

• Conduct internal audits to ensure HR and training compliance.

Interested? Here’s what we need from you?

• Previous experience of L&D, training, recruitment and mentoring within hospitality or retail

• Ability to analyse and identify the training needs of the team and create and deliver a robust training programme

• Experience of designing and monitoring e-learning courses

• Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver to large groups of people of all levels.

• Excellent communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels and organisation

• Great personality with can do attitude

• Organised, disciplined, confident and personable

• A full clean driver’s licence is essential. Ability to travel to meet the requirements of the job. The role is based in the office at the Brewery, but you will also spend time working with our employees in the Pub Estate, therefore some additional travel will be necessary.
