Spin Doctor Competition Terms and Conditions

THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS PREVAIL IN THE EVENT OF ANY CONFLICT OR INCONSISTENCY WITH ANY OTHER COMMUNICATIONS, INCLUDING ADVERTISING OR PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS. ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS ARE DEEMED TO FORM PART OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND BY ENTERING THIS PROMOTION ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE DEEMED TO HAVE ACCEPTED AND BE BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

General Terms and Conditions of Spin Doctor Competition

1. Competition and promotion only open to residents in the UK, aged 18 or over, excluding employees of Joseph Holt, Retail Partners and Tenants, their immediate families and any person, who, in the Joseph Holt’s reasonable opinion, should be excluded due to their involvement or connection with this promotion.
2. Subject to availability. Promotion is open to participating Joseph Holt pubs only and some non-Joseph Holt pubs. Promotion is not available at the Bridgewater Exchange, Terminal 2, Manchester Airport. Service is at the discretion of the bar staff.
3. Promotion starts at 00:01 on Monday 10th March 2025  and ends 23:59 on Tuesday 6th May 2025
4. Entries must be made personally. Entries made through agents/third parties, bulk entries or automated entries are strictly invalid. Joseph Holt accepts no responsibility for lost, incomplete, illegible or delayed claims, such entries will be void.
5. The decision of Joseph Holt in all matters is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. Joseph Holt is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions.
6. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of Joseph Holt, or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion of the awarding prizes, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, Joseph Holt reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion at any stage but will always endeavour to minimize the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
7. These rules and any dispute or difference arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.

Promotional Mechanics

1. Buy a Pint of Joseph Holt SPIN DOCTOR LAGER in participating Joseph Holt Pubs
2. Once bought, receive a Loyalty Card and a stamp for your first pint.
3. The loyalty card has a QR code on, scan this and fill out your details to be entered into the big prize draw.
4. Buy 6 pints within the competition timeline, receive 6 stamps and you will receive a free pint.
5. Instant Win Prizes Terms and Conditions: 

1. There are five thousand (5000) x 50p vouchers off pints of Spin Doctor, Two Thousand (2000) x £1 vouchers off a pint of Spin Doctor, along with a number of instant win prizes via a spinning wheel in selected pubs throughout the promotional period. 
2. Winners of the money off vouchers must hand in the completed crossword to the bar to claim the prize. One claim per person.
3. There is no cash or other alternative to these prizes in whole or in part. Prizes are not transferable. Joseph Holt reserves the right to reclaim the prize if it is transferred.

Win a Range of Spin Related Prize Competition

1. There are multiple prizes to win in the Spin Doctor prize competition. The total of all prizes in this part of the competition will not exceed £5,000.
2. Prizes available to win are £2,000 Trip to Paris, Accommodation and Dinner at Moulin Rouge. Competition entries for this prize will be pooled together with MCRFinest Group and a winner will be chosen and announced on MCRFinest Instagram Page.
3. Other spin prizes included 1x Helicopter Ride, 1 x Car Experience, 1 x Mountain Bike, 1 x LP Player, 1 x Dyson Fan, 1 x Merlin Entertainment Pass for 12 months, Majorette Batons, Fidget Spinners, Music LPs, Salad Spinners, Lazy Susans and Spinning Bow Ties.
4. Winners will be chosen from a random draw of entries on or after 06/05/2025. 
5. There will be multiple winners, however one prize will only be awarded to one person i.e. the same person cannot win multiple prizes
6. All reasonable endeavours will be made to contact the winner during the specified time.  If Winners cannot be contacted or is not available, the Promoter reserves the right to re-draw another winner from the valid/correct entries that were received during the Competition Period. Winners may be required to provide valid identification before receiving their prize.
7. Once prize has been awarded, any communication will be between Joseph Holt and the winner. Once prize has been received e.g. voucher or item, no further communication will be required and winner will need to arrange their prize (if voucher) between themselves and the corresponding company e.g. Red Letter Days for Car Experience.

How to participate

1. Entries into the prize draw are made by entering details into the prize draw on the competition web page found when purchasing a pint of Spin Doctor in participating pubs, scanning the QR code or entering the competition link into your web browser.
2. Entrants agree to enter their name, e-mail address and valid telephone number to be in with a chance of winning including signing up to the Joseph Holt club.
3. You can enter once using a valid e-mail address. Only one entry per person.
4. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
5. Entries received after the closing date of 23.59 on 06.05.2025 will not be included in the draw. Joseph Holt will not be responsible for any entries that are not received by the closing date, whether lost, delayed, corrupted or otherwise, and whether or not due to any technical difficulties or malfunctions.
6. Entries made via MCRFinest during the competition will also be counted and pooled together for the Trip to Paris ONLY.
7. Incomplete or incomprehensible entries and entries from third party agents or bulk entries are void and will not be eligible for the prize draw.

Prizes

1. The Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and excludes any additional costs and expenses.
2. No cash alternative will be offered in lieu of any prize awarded.
3. Joseph Holt reserves the right to alter the specifications of the prize should that specified be unavailable for reasons beyond their control. The prize may change at any time without prior notice. Any alternative prize will be of equal value.
4. Paris trip will be arranged with the winner and any further correspondence with the holiday company or booking agent will take between the company and winner. Once awarded Joseph Holt will not make communication to make amends or cancel parts of the booking.

Selection of the Winner

1. The winners of the prize draws will be selected at random by a third party on or after 06.05.2025.
2. The winner acknowledges and agrees that they may be required to be used in publicity if they are selected as a winner. By giving Joseph Holt your details, you are agreeing that you are willing to receive future correspondence in relation to the competition.
3. Entrants and the winner accept that, if they win, Joseph Holt will have the right, without additional payment or permission, to use their name, age, town of residence, and/or photograph and likeness for the purposes of announcing the winner of this competition and for related publicity/promotional purposes. No additional compensation will be awarded for such publicity/promotional purposes.

Notification of the results and receipt of the prizes

1. The winners will be notified by email after the draw. If the winner cannot accept the prize for any reason or is not contactable then Joseph Holt reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant. The winners will receive their respective prizes in a reasonable time thereafter.
2. Joseph Holt’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

Data Protection and Publicity

The Promoter will collect and process participants’ personal information and it will not be shared with the Promoter’s agents, affiliates and, if applicable, any third party prize provider. Information provided by participants will only be used for the purpose of conducting this Competition (including for prizes to be delivered) and other purposes as may be specified at the time of entry or on promotional materials.

Participants’ names and general locations will be published or made publicly available if they are the winner of the Competition in accordance with regulatory requirements. In such circumstances, the Promoter may also make free use of this information and the participants’ photographs for publicity and news purposes, with the participants’ consent, both during this and future promotions by the Promoter. This includes making their name available on the Promoter’s websites and social media platforms. Only entrants who are and look over 25 will have their images or video used in publicity.
