We’re looking for a full-time Second Chef to join us at the Mill at Upton. Situated in Upton on the outskirts of Chester, the Mill is a delightful, family-friendly destination pub serving a wide-range of food and award-winning beers.

About the Job

We are looking for a Second Chef to join us at the Mill at Upton who must:

  • Be passionate about food quality and standards
  • Be able to prepare, cook and present meals to specification
  • Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and compliance with hygiene regulations

About You

  • Self-motivated, an outgoing person that works well with others and has a real passion for great food
  • You have the ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • The ability to work flexibly according to the needs of the business, including evenings and weekends
  • You will have some experience working in a commercial kitchen as a line chef or second chef
  • Lots of experience is not necessary, however a willingness to learn and work as part of a team is essential
  • Our second chefs will need an eye for details and be able to work under pressure
  • Minimum level 1 food hygiene
